Filing a Formal Complaint
What: As a Medicare or Medicaid beneficiary if you think you did not receive correct information from your insurance agent or healthcare plan or were the recipient of possible fraudulent marketing practices during the choice of your Medicare Part D and/or Medicare Advantage plan selection, you have the option to report this to the Oklahoma Insurance Department by filing a formal complaint.
Why: It is important to file this complaint, without worry of retribution, if you suspect wrongdoing. Without filing a formal complaint, discrepancies may go undetected and put other beneficiaries at risk of becoming victims of possible fraudulent behavior. Reporting your concerns provides the Oklahoma Insurance Department necessary information to fulfill its responsibility to protect and serve Oklahoma’s insurance buying public.
