This division is charged with the responsibility of monitoring the financial conditions of the following:
- Domestic and Foreign Insurance Companies
- Captives
- Certified Reinsurers
- Accredited Reinsurers
- Surplus Lines
- Health Maintenance Organizations
- Risk Retention Groups
- Title
- Dental Organizations
- Pre-Paid Legal Organizations
Other items handled in financial:
- Admission of New Companies
- Expansion of Foreign Companies
- Anti-Fraud Assessments
- Insurance Business Transfers
- Workers Compensation
These entities are approved to transact business in Oklahoma within the guidelines of the Oklahoma insurance laws, rules and regulations. They are regulated to ensure that each will be able to meet its financial obligations to policyholders and creditors. Qualification is determined according to Title 36 of the Oklahoma Statutes. Other responsibilities include scheduling of examinations & deposits/withdrawals of securities.
