Policy Forms Used by the 10 Largest Auto Insurance Groups in Oklahoma
As an informational resource for consumers, the Oklahoma Insurance Department offers on this Web page, downloadable copies of private passenger automobile insurance policy forms and mandatory amendatory endorsements offered by the 10 largest insurance groups writing private passenger automobile insurance in Oklahoma. The 10 groups were identified on the basis of market share by direct written premium, taken from OID’s 2012 Annual Report. Consumers may use this information as a starting point in their comparison-shopping for insurance products.
- The policy documents on this page are presented for informational purposes only and are not intended to endorse, recommend, advertise, or comment on the quality of any particular insurer’s product in any manner, or to imply that the insurance products identified on this page are the only products available to consumers for this line of business. Consumers are encouraged to shop around to find companies and coverages that best suit their insurance needs.
- Only the policy forms and amendatory endorsements that an insurance company requires its policyholders to have are available on this page. Insurance companies may also have optional amendatory endorsements which the policyholder may select to broaden, narrow, or otherwise alter the coverage provided. These optional features are not listed here.
- The content of an issued insurance policy alone determines the available coverages and exclusions. The number of mandatory forms used by an insurance company does not necessarily correspond with the extent of coverage, or the extent of coverage restrictions, in that company’s product. Furthermore, the number of an insurer’s mandatory forms is not an indicator of the content or degree of complexity of the insurance policy language. Consumers are encouraged to read their insurance policies carefully.
- The information displayed on this page is the most current information available and known to the Oklahoma Insurance Department. While the Department makes its best effort to keep this documentation current and accurate, these documents should be considered informational references only and are not a guarantee that any specific insurance product will be available to any specific insurance consumer. Furthermore, this information does not convey any other guarantees, express or implied, to the consumer. This effort is a work in progress and, as such, may be periodically updated, enhanced, revised, and expanded in scope.
