ATTENTION ALL OKLAHOMA NONRESIDENT ADJUSTER APPLICANTS WITH A DESIGNATED HOME STATE (DHS)

Oklahoma will continue to work with other states to ensure reciprocity and encourage uniformity with Nonresident Adjuster Licensing. The following states have a specific DHS license type in place to track and monitor the licensees that are designating those states as the “home state” for license compliance. The license appears on the National Producer Database notating DHS for that license. Oklahoma does not allow the designation of a home state that does not have a CE requirement.

Oklahoma will only accept the following states as an adjusters DHS:

Alabama Montana
Arkansas New Hampshire
Florida North Carolina
Idaho Oklahoma
Indiana Texas
Kentucky
(Independent Adjuster ONLY, Staff is NOT accepted)
Utah
Louisiana Washington
Minnesota West Virginia
Mississippi Wyoming

Individuals can designate Oklahoma as their DHS by passing the Oklahoma examination. Licensees designating Oklahoma as their home state will be subject to our continuing education requirements as well as other applicable requirements of our resident adjuster licensees. The licensee is required to report Oklahoma as their DHS to other states where they hold a license. All applications that do not qualify will be withdrawn.
All adjuster license application fees are considered earned and nonrefundable.
