PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE

The Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner, pursuant to his authority under 36 O.S. §§ 307 and 984 and OAC 365:1-7-1(a), is holding a hearing for the purpose of determining whether the homeowners insurance market in Oklahoma is noncompetitive. This hearing is set before an independent hearing examiner for Monday, September 14, 2026, at 9 A.M., at the Oklahoma State Capitol, Multipurpose Room 100, 2300 N. Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73105.

The Oklahoma Insurance Commissioner invites all interested parties with a direct, immediate and substantial interest in the determination of whether or not the homeowners insurance market in Oklahoma is noncompetitive, including all property and casualty insurers writing homeowners insurance business in Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Attorney General pursuant to 74 O.S. § 18b(22), to participate in the public hearing and offer evidence and argument on the issues involved. Persons wishing to participate shall file an entry of appearance by emailing it to OIDlegal@oid.ok.gov.

This hearing is NOT for the purpose of determining whether any particular homeowners rates are excessive; nor is it for addressing any claims issues.
