Both new and renewal courses must be submitted at least thirty (30) days prior to the use of any course and not less than ten (10) days prior to the CE Advisory Committee Meeting immediately preceding the course date. Review dates and amendments to those dates are listed under the CE Notices button. Courses are reviewed by the CE Advisory Committee on the first Wednesday of each month.

Process:

  1. Submit all required course material at least 30 days prior to use
  2. Cutoff date for course submission is 10 calendar days prior to the review date
  3. Check primary contact’s email account for an OID email request for additional information
  4. Allow 5 business days after the review date for results to be entered into SBS then check your SBS account for course status. SBS Settings option (located on the Provider Dashboard) has a selection for the provider to receive automated emails when a course is approved.
  5. Once approved, return to CE Provider webpage and enter course offerings

New Course Submission –

a new course must be submitted via the CE providers SBS Online CE Account with a $30.00 application fee (plus an SBS processing fee.)

  • Access State Based Systems
  • Under Step 1: Select your jurisdiction: select Oklahoma from the pull down box
  • Click on Login to SBS for Organizations and enter your information
  • Your SBS account screen will be displayed, scroll to the Education Providers section and click on Go To Dashboard Go To Dashboard
  • Click on Course Original Application and continue through the application process, upload required material and submit along with the application fee

Renewal Course Submission –

Renewal course submissions must be made via the CE Providers SBS Online CE Account with a $30.00 renewal fee (plus an SBS processing fee.)

  • Access State Based Systems
  • Under Step 1: Select your jurisdiction: select Oklahoma from the pull down box
  • Click on Login to SBS for Organizations and enter your information
  • Your SBS account screen will be displayed, scroll to the Education Providers section and click on Go To Dashboard
  • Click on the Renewal Application button. A list of current providers and courses will be displayed. Select renew from the pull down box beside the desired course number. Click the Next button to continue through the application, upload required material then submit along with renewal payment
  • Upload course renewal documents. Refer to Course Submission requirements below or access Additional Course Guidelines for more details.

View Courses –

You may view the courses for a CE Provider online. The course name, number and effective dates will be displayed.

  • Access State Based Systems
  • Under Step 1: Select your jurisdiction: select Oklahoma from the pull down box
  • Click on Login to SBS for Organizations and enter your information
  • Your SBS account screen will be displayed, scroll to the Education Providers section and click on Go To Dashboard
  • Your CE Provider account per state will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Click on Provider Name associated with your Oklahoma account to access your Oklahoma Provider Summary screen.
  • Courses are displayed under 3 sections; Approved, Pending and Rejected

Amend a Pending Application:

  • Access State Based Systems
  • Under Step 1: Select your jurisdiction: select Oklahoma from the pull down box
  • Click on Login to SBS for Organizations and enter your information
  • Your SBS account screen will be displayed, scroll to the Education Providers section and click on Go To Dashboard
  • Scroll to the bottom and click on the Oklahoma entity to access the Provider Summary
  • Scroll down to the Pending Course section and click on the course name to open the course
  • Under Attachment Details, click on the + sign to upload additional documents
  • To ensure the course is reviewed promptly, email the OID reviewer to inform them that the material has been revised

        2. Detailed time outline
        3. Course material content
          1. Workbooks
          2. Manuals
          3. Handouts
          4. Power Point Slides/Overhead Transparencies
          5. Any additional information used to instruct the course
      2. Internet Courses (Information below is required to be uploaded to SBS.)
        1. Copy of course material content the student will view online
        2. Copy of examination
        3. Word count (excluding exam questions)
        4. Login information for the ability to view the course online
      3. Correspondence Courses (Information below is required to be uploaded to SBS.)
        1. Copy of course material content the student will study
        2. Copy of examination
        3. Word count (excluding exam questions)
    2. NAIC Reciprocity Submissions:
      When submitting a course using the NAIC Reciprocity method, please be sure to check the “The NAIC CER form along with home state approval and course outline is attached” box.
