Pending Continuing Education (CE) Course Guidelines

The Oklahoma Insurance Department’s Education Division graciously inspects CE course submissions for accuracy and completeness prior to a full course review. A CE Provider is given 30 days from the date the OID sends an e-mail notification to adjust their pending course(s).

Purpose and Applicability

The guidelines establish the response period for CE Providers whose pending course submissions require additional or corrected documentation.

Response Period

The 30-calendar-day response period begins on the date the OID sends an e-mail notifying the CE Provider of the missing or required documentation. The course submission date does not establish the response deadline.

Required Information and Formatting

CE Providers must upload all requested missing or corrected documentation to the pending course(s) through their SBS Online CE Account. Uploaded documentation must follow the format specified in the OID’s e-mail. A response alone does not satisfy the request if the required documentation has not been uploaded in the proper format. The OID does not accept course documentation via e-mail.

Course Rejection

At the end of the response period, the course submission will be rejected if either of the following applies:

  • The CE Provider has not submitted the requested documentation via the CE Provider’s SBS Online CE Account.
  • The uploaded missing or corrected documentation is still not in the proper format.
