Employment Policy

The Oklahoma Insurance Department’s employment policy is to recruit the best-qualified persons for state service. Factors to consider include current assignments, anticipated personnel advancement, turnover and current staff resources. Any misleading or erroneous statement on a résumé, application or other employment information supplied to the Oklahoma Insurance Department is cause for dismissal. The Commissioner is responsible for employment decisions and has delegated authority to the Deputy Insurance Commissioner to ensure the department recruits and retains a highly-qualified staff.
