What is the Medicare Open Enrollment Period?
During this time, Medicare beneficiaries can review their current coverage to see if they would like to make any changes in their Medicare Advantage or prescription drug coverage.
It’s important that beneficiaries take advantage of this opportunity every year in order to:
Potentially save money on prescription drugs.
See if there are pharmacies where they could pay less for their medications.
See if there are any new plans that may be even more cost effective than their current coverage.
If I reviewed my plan last year, do I still need to review it again this year?
Medicare Advantage coverage can change significantly each year. Premiums, coinsurance and copays, provider networks, and benefits can have significant changes that could impact you. It’s important to review those changes for your current coverage as well as any new plans that might be available.
