Specialist II Bail Division
#JR36658-The Oklahoma Insurance Department has an opening in the Bail Division for a Specialist II. The salary for this position is $52,365.91. This position is open until filled. DEFINITION:
Under administrative direction, performs routine and repetitive clerical, bookkeeping and data entry. Work is checked periodically during performance of the work and upon completion.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- 1st person to cover the phone.
- Review and balance monthly reports for assigned companies.
- Data entry for assigned companies.
- Work and maintain court forfeiture proceedings.
- Report letters
- Appointments and cancellations for assigned companies.
- Court Clerk audits
- Unreported bond letters per Court Clerk comparison
- Assist new license applications.
- Assist license renewals.
- Prepare Legal referrals.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of telephone etiquette and procedures
- Effective time organization and management.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other, to understand the basic functions of other divisions within the department, and to deal tactfully with the licensees and public.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and proven ability to multitask.
- Ability to deal with difficult people and maintain a professional attitude.
- Working knowledge of computers and computer software, specifically Microsoft Windows products, including but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, Work, Adobe, and Outlook.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associate’s degree in any field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting each year of related experience for each year of education.
NOTE:
Upon hire, any applicant who is licensed as a producer/agent, adjuster or is otherwise affiliated with any entity that is regulated by the department must surrender their license and terminate any financial or non-financial affiliation with the entity that is regulated by the department. The selected applicant must pass a background check. Individual may be required to pursue NAIC designations as job duties require.
TELEWORK:
This position may be eligible for telework each week under OID’s Telework Program after initial training.
